Mentoring Works! At Nettleton

Grant Reading Partners and Five Points have teamed up to offer One-on-One Mentoring/Tutoring Before, During and After School. Up to 200 youth at Nettleton are matched with a positive adult mentor/reading partner/tutor before, during or after the school day.

Matches meet between 30 and 60 minutes depending on the students’ schedule.  The match meets weekly, at the same time at Nettleton.  The volunteers provide individualized help with one-on-one mentoring, reading and tutoring to the student, focusing on providing social support, as well as, academic support in reading, math and other academic enrichment.
